ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aptos, Inc., a recognized market leader in retail technology solutions, today announced the appointment of retail and technology veteran Steve Aulds to the role of development leader. Aulds will serve on the company’s executive leadership team and oversee global product development for Aptos solutions, including the company’s best-in-class point of sale, order management and merchandising technologies.
In this role, Aulds will draw on his extensive development and engineering expertise to advance Aptos’ position as the leader in cloud-based customer engagement and enterprise solutions for large and mid-sized retailers. Aulds will also play a strategic role in the combination of Aptos solutions with TXT Retail’s best of breed merchandise lifecycle management suite, pending the acquisition’s successful close.

With a career spanning four decades, Aulds will enhance the velocity, scale and innovation across Aptos’ Singular Commerce platform while retaining the company’s relentless commitment to quality, security and cloud deployment.
Before joining Aptos, Aulds served as vice president, engineering and product management, for Oracle’s Communications business unit, where he managed over 500 software and hardware engineers worldwide. Aulds was employed at Oracle through its acquisition of Acme Packet in 2013.
Prior to Oracle/Acme Packet, Aulds was senior vice president, engineering and cloud operations, at Sterling Commerce, where he was in charge of development for the commerce business unit, as well as overseeing cloud/SaaS operations and IT functions. Previous to this, Aulds served as senior vice president, engineering, for Yantra, where he pioneered early-stage advancements in retail order management technology with agile architecture and extensibility.
