Pluribus Networks to Showcase VMware Integrations at VMworld 2017

Company to Highlight Its Adaptive Cloud Fabric Architecture, Providing an Automated, Distributed and Scalable Underlay with Integrated Performance Management for VMware Software-Defined Data Centers

PALO ALTO, Calif.--()--Pluribus Networks today announced that it will participate in VMworld 2017, taking place August 27 through 31 in Las Vegas, Nev., at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The company will showcase in booth 821 the latest capabilities of its Netvisor® Operating System (OS) and how the Adaptive Cloud Fabric™ architecture is an ideal foundation for supporting VMware® workloads and VMware NSX network virtualization deployments.

Pluribus Networks has been a VMware Elite Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) since 2015, and recently joined the SDDC Technology Alliance Program. The company will demonstrate its unique and highly differentiated Adaptive Cloud Fabric architecture with ongoing booth presentations in the VMworld Solutions Exchange. These sessions will highlight the key interoperability and integration points with the VMware cloud Infrastructure architecture, crossing compute, storage and network environments, including:

  • Building a geographically distributed network fabric with Data Center Interconnect (DCI) services to support and optimize VMware SDDC services
  • Optimizing vSAN workloads over DCI to enable hyper-converged infrastructure stretching and scale-out architectures
  • Hardware accelerated L2 VTEP Gateway to integrate bare metal services with VMware NSX
  • Achieving end-to-end and one-touch provisioning across the network, compute and storage with vCenter-driven automation
  • Achieving unified visibility into east-west workloads and traffic across the network underlay, NSX overlay, vSAN stack and the VMware hypervisor

The Adaptive Cloud Fabric is a holistic distributed network architecture that complements and optimizes VMware NSX deployments with its distributed, peer-to-peer clustering of multiple switches, enabling distributed switches to operate as a single entity without the need for cumbersome proprietary protocols or SDN controllers. The Adaptive Cloud Fabric is built on the innovative Netvisor software, a virtualized network OS that powers open switch hardware, including Dell EMC Open Networking Switches. Pluribus Networks will also highlight its Insight Analytics™ platform, a full-stack performance management solution that leverages the embedded telemetry of the Netvisor OS, vProbe for VMware, and other network data sources, to enable true pervasive visibility across the network including the NSX overlay, vSAN workloads, and workloads traversing the VMware ESXi Hypervisor.

“Pluribus Networks is redefining and simplifying the network architecture for the software-defined data center. Our solutions complement VMware operating environments with a dynamic and scalable underlay, provisioning automation and pervasive visibility for the network, compute and storage,” said Steven Shalita, vice president of marketing and business development at Pluribus Networks. “The Pluribus Adaptive Cloud Fabric architecture offers a simpler and more scalable approach to software-defined networking that adapts to change and supports a wide-range of deployment scenarios to streamline operations, improve efficiency and lower costs. Our unique approach to open networking enables organizations to take full advantage of VMware’s next-generation SDDC services without unnecessary cost or complexity for the underlay network.”
