NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mezocliq, an innovator in cloud-based data management solutions, announced today that Brad Olson has joined the company in the newly created position of President, effective immediately.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Brad to Mezocliq in this leadership position,” said Chairman and CEO Vikas Kapoor, who founded Mezocliq in 2012. “Brad is an outstanding executive with deep experience in finance and technology. He understands what is required to cope with today’s big data needs, and is superb at managing the associated execution challenges. We are thrilled to have him lead our next phase of growth.”
Mr. Olson said, “I am excited to join the talented team of technology professionals at Mezocliq. I have been immensely impressed with the enterprise technology platform that they have developed. It sets a new bar for data management on Wall Street and worldwide. Having overseen and worked on dozens of vendor and proprietary software platforms throughout my career, I recognize the significant time and costs that go into implementing and maintaining them – however, they rarely achieve the results businesses need or expect. What Mezocliq has built closes that gap and delivers a real return on investment for its enterprise clients.” He added, “My time at Guggenheim Partners was an extraordinary experience of working with some of the industry’s most talented people, whom I am excited to continue collaborating with as a business partner.”
Mr. Olson joins Mezocliq from Guggenheim Partners where he was Chief Financial Officer.
“We congratulate Brad on the opportunity to become Mezocliq’s first-ever President,” said Brian Sir, Chief Operating Officer of Guggenheim. “As a client and owner of a minority interest in Mezocliq, Guggenheim looks forward to continuing to work with Brad as a business partner.”
Mr. Olson brings to Mezocliq more than 20 years of experience in financial services and oversight of the implementation and management of technology at leading financial services firms. Prior to joining Guggenheim, he was with Nomura as CFO for the Americas and with Merrill Lynch as CFO of Global Equities and CFO of Global Wealth Management. He also worked for Citigroup Smith Barney in a variety of operating roles, and started his career at Andersen Consulting in Information Technology consulting. Mr. Olson holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Colby College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School.
