FRISCO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Valify, Inc., a purchased services technology solution that enables health care organizations to quickly identify spend, benchmark performance, and monitor savings in over 1,200 categories, today announced the appointment of Lester Popiolek to the role of Chief Operating Officer. With extensive technology and health care supply chain experience spanning nearly three decades, Popiolek brings valuable leadership to Valify’s executive team during a period of rapid growth. In this newly created role, Popiolek will be a valuable contributor to the company’s product strategy, while having oversight of the company’s operations, including sales, client relationship management, and consulting services.
“Les joins Valify with a wealth of operational and technology management experience at early-stage, mid-sized, and publicly-traded companies,” said Chris Heckler, Valify’s CEO and co-founder. “We are thrilled to leverage Les’ track record in the health care supply chain as we continue to expand our platform and broaden our customer base.”
Popiolek commented, “I am excited to support and extend the value created for health care providers by Valify since its debut in 2014. In a short period of time, Valify has established itself as the market leader for empowering its clients to effectively manage one of the largest and most fragmented areas of spend in health care… purchased services. The enormous potential to deepen and extend Valify’s relationships in the purchased services space was quickly evident to me after my conversations with their team and customers. I am elated to be part of the Valify team.”
Popiolek joins Valify following his departure from MedAssets in 2016, after being acquired by Vizient, Inc. From 2010 to 2016, he led the business operations and strategies for MedAssets group purchasing contract portfolio covering $35 billion in spend. Before MedAssets, Les served as Chief Technology Officer for Broadlane, where he was accountable for the performance of the company’s ecommerce, informatics, and supply chain outsourcing technologies. Popiolek received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
