HLTH Announces Appointment of Healthcare Industry Veteran, Constance Sjoquist, to Curate First-of-Its-Kind Industry Agenda

The former Gartner analyst joins future of healthcare conference leadership team to design immersive, personalized and comprehensive attendee experience

NEW YORK--()--HLTH, the first-of-its-kind event covering the innovation in healthcare that is driving substantial reduction in costs and dramatic increase in quality, today announced Constance Sjoquist has been appointed Chief Content Officer. Sjoquist has extensive experience helping companies – payers, providers, employers, pharma, technology vendors, start-ups, investors, and government entities – navigate the complex healthcare landscape and reimagine their path forward.

As Chief Content Officer, Sjoquist will rely on her deep domain expertise to lead development of all content pertaining to the show, including the overall structure of the program, agenda setting, speaker lineup, and session development. Sjoquist will be responsible for carefully connecting the information delivered during HLTH to the overall experience for each of the stakeholder groups. The appointment of Sjoquist is part of HLTH founders’, Jonathan Weiner and Anil Aggarwal, strategy to deliver a unique and unparalleled healthcare event experience that drives change for the betterment of the industry.

“Given Constance’s deep healthcare expertise, she understands the most significant challenges facing the complex healthcare ecosystem today and has the ability to look outside the industry and reimagine what’s possible,” said Jonathan Weiner, Founder, Chairman & CEO at HLTH. “For HLTH, Constance is leaning on this ability and expertise to structure the event in a way that delivers value to each attendee, incites participation and spurs transformation. Her unique understanding of the people that need to be brought together will ultimately spur dialogue, partnerships and action that will drive the industry forward.”

Sjoquist’s previous experience includes involvement across many of the domains of healthcare. Most recently, as a research analyst at Gartner, Sjoquist focused on payers and providers, as she sought to understand their biggest challenges and opportunities and provide them with relevant information and insights to help them compete amidst a rapidly evolving industry. Prior to Gartner, she held roles at UnitedHealth Group and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, where she leveraged the successful transformations taking place in other industries towards the potential for healthcare.

“The future success of healthcare depends upon intentional collaboration amongst all industry stakeholders,” said Sjoquist. “There are healthcare executives and innovation champions willing to embrace and apply ideas and leverage technologies that have successfully transformed other industries, including retail, banking, travel, and finance. But the siloed nature of the healthcare industry makes it challenging to pull the trigger on investments and strategies that depend on an industry – not just a company – shift. We are designing and structuring HLTH as a catalyst for this industry transformation to take place.”
