The new product provides essential protection for these refrigeration units covering both the diesel components as well as the compressor. This new extended service plan is designed for Carrier and Thermo King Units and will provide extended coverage for up to two additional years. Buyers can add this coverage to their drive-train service plans and receive a complete package of comprehensive protection. “Now Refrigerated Carriers can purchase remarketed vehicles with greater confidence, as one of the most critical operating components of their vehicle will have iron-clad protection”, said Robert Amico, president and CEO of National Truck Protection.
The new refrigeration plan provides coverage for 28 internally lubricated engine components contained within the refrigeration unit as well as coverage for the compressor. NTP’s world-class claims organization will provide the same high level 24/7/365 service for these units as it does for all of its other diesel and specialized service contracts. “The addition of this coverage will provide far reaching benefits to refrigerated carriers as their need for consistent and reliable temperature control is critical to their business”, stated Amico.
The NTP refrigeration package will be widely available as an add-on to the company’s NTP and ATP branded products. These products are available at NTP authorized commercial truck dealers and resellers throughout the United States.
