CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, Financial Times published their list of America’s top 300 independent registered investment (RIA) advisers. The annual roster reflects what’s widely considered to be the best firms in the RIA industry, and this year recognizes some standout players in the wealth management arena—including The Mather Group (TMG).
This is TMG’s second-consecutive ranking on the “FT 300” list over the past two years, and quickly follows their placement on Barron’s Top Financial Advisors list. Founder and CEO Stewart Mather attributes the firm's success and recognition first and foremost to their fiduciary standard, followed closely by TMG’s well-seasoned staff of financial, tax and legal professionals.
TMG was founded in 2011 when Mather decided to break away from Wall Street and set up a wealth management firm with a "clients-first" culture, and a fee-only structure to prove it. He opened his doors with $180 million in assets under management (AUM) and a mission to serve clients with complete transparency, putting their growth ahead of commissions and profit. Today, TMG has grown to over $1 billion AUM and, with offices in Chicago, Houston, Dallas and Atlanta, is proudly serving a diverse client base with unique needs, but all with the same goal—a comfortable retirement.
The FT 300 list is produced independently by the Financial Times in collaboration with Ignites Research, a subsidiary of the FT that provides business intelligence on the investment management industry. RIA firms applied for consideration, having met a minimum set of criteria. Applicants were then graded on six factors: AUM; AUM growth rate; years in existence; advanced industry credentials of the firm’s advisers; online accessibility; and compliance records.
The Mather Group is one of the fastest-growing independent, fee-only registered investment advisory firms in the country, offering comprehensive financial planning services with clients’ best interests in mind. To learn more, visit www.themathergroup.com.
The Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers is an independent listing produced annually by the Financial Times (June, 2017). The FT 300 is based on data gathered from RIA firms, regulatory disclosures, and the FT’s research. The listing reflected each practice’s performance in six primary areas: assets under management, asset growth, compliance record, years in existence, credentials and online accessibility. This award does not evaluate the quality of services provided to clients and is not indicative of the practice’s future performance. Neither the RIA firms nor their employees pay a fee to The Financial Times in exchange for inclusion in the FT 300.
