LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Last week, EY announced that David Allerby, Tyner Brenneman-Slay, and Ryan Iwamoto of 24Hr HomeCare, a professional caregiving service provider, received the Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2017 Award in the Consumer Services category in Greater Los Angeles. The award recognizes entrepreneurs who are excelling in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Allerby, Brenneman-Slay, and Iwamoto were selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a special gala event at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on June 15.
“When we first founded 24Hr HomeCare, the three of us shared this entrepreneurial mindset of creating a new kind of caregiving company—instead of providing a blanket, one-size-fits-all type of service, we wanted to provide professional caregiving that is tailored to the needs of each individual. Nine years later, we have thirteen established branch offices across three states, but we still approach our work with an entrepreneurial mindset every day, as the home care industry is an evolving industry we are constantly adapting to,” said David Allerby, CEO of 24Hr HomeCare. “I can’t express how humbling it is for myself and my two Co-Founders to receive the Entrepreneur of the Year award…this is truly an award for all of Team 24.”
Now in its 31st year, the Awards program has honored the inspirational leadership of such entrepreneurs as:
- Howard Schultz of Starbucks Coffee Company
- Pierre Omidyar of eBay, Inc.
- Robert Unanue of Goya Foods
- Reid Hoffman and Jeff Weiner of LinkedIn
- Hamdi Ulukaya of Chobani
- James Park of Fitbit
As a Greater Los Angeles award winner, Allerby, Brenneman-Slay, and Iwamoto are now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 18, 2017. The awards are the culminating event of the Strategic Growth ForumTM, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
