SHERIDAN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Splashway Waterpark is pleased to participate in the 2017 World’s Largest Swimming Lesson (WLSL) as a part of the global effort to teach children how to swim. The community is invited to pre-register for a free 30-minute swim lesson, at Splashway on June 22nd starting at 8:15 am, offering participants half-off admission tickets to enjoy the park and activities following the lesson.
“At Splashway, our goal is to keep our families safe and happy and we look forward to making this year’s WLSL even bigger and better than last,” says Carl Blahuta, General Manager of Splashway Waterpark. “We’ll once again attempt to break the current world record of 1,308 WLSL participants while supporting the life-saving skill of swimming to end child drownings. But we can’t do it without you!”
Hundreds of WLSL events will take place in over twenty countries on five continents in just twenty-four hours. This is the eighth annual WLSL global event and this year TEAM WLSL™ has set the bar high, with a new goal: to reach more than one billion with the message that Swimming Lessons Save Lives™ by 2019.
Splashway’s World’s Largest Swim Lesson participants will receive:
- 50% off an admission ticket (when pre-registered) to enjoy the day at the waterpark following the free lesson
- A certificate of participation
- A goodie bag
Early swim lesson participants must arrive at Splashway between 8 am-9:30 am to qualify for the half-priced admission ticket. Swim lessons will continue every 45 minutes to an hour throughout the day. Guests that participate during the day will receive a goodie bag and discount coupon good for a future visit to Splashway during the 2017 season.
