SEATTLE--()--Roaming Millennial, a political and social commentary YouTube channel that has soared since launching a year ago, is joining the coalition of thought leaders who will amplify their voices on Maven (MVEN), the new digital media platform now live in preview form.

Roaming Millennial launched in May 2016 and already has attracted seven million views and 160,000 subscribers. The founder and star of Roaming Millennial is a “conservatarian” who advocates “for liberty, equality, logic over feelings, and personal responsibility in a cool, trendy way that young people can relate.” She addresses issues such as culture, gender, race, immigration, and freedom of speech.

"I'm excited to be working with a team that knows how to optimize both technology and advertising, allowing me to focus on providing content for my audience,” said the twenty-something Brigham Young University graduate who prefers to keep her name private. “I'm certainly no tech or business expert, so I look forward to having more time to commit to doing what I do best -- making videos."

Roaming Millennial -- which is now live on Maven at https://www.themaven.net/roamingmillennial -- strives to bring a global perspective to the content. In addition to the U.S., the founder has lived in Canada, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore and China.

As an educated, youthful, immigrant woman of color, her point of view adds a sincere new voice to Maven’s coalition of award-winning journalists, best-selling authors, top analysts, important causes and foundations.

“We welcome passionate discussion throughout the political arena, and our platform provides the foundation to broaden the reach of Roaming Millennial,” said Maven CEO James Heckman. “She is a fresh, provocative voice who is making a mark and engaging young people in political and cultural conversations.”

Roaming Millennial is the second politically focused channel to go live on Maven, joining Wojtek Wacowski's Being Liberal. An invite-only network, Maven -- which is non-partisan -- is building a coalition of elite content channels and groups from a wide array of categories and will continue to announce founding partners in the coming weeks and months. This video and story from the company’s recent launch provide broad perspective on the vision.

Maven is an expert-driven, group media network, whose innovative platform serves, by invitation-only, a coalition of professional, independent channel partners. By providing broader distribution, greater community engagement and efficient advertising and membership programs, Maven enables partners to focus on the key drivers of their business: creating, informing, sharing, discovering, leading and interacting with the communities and constituencies they serve.

Based in Seattle, Maven is publicly traded under the ticker symbol MVEN. The executive team and operational board members include digital media pioneers James Heckman, Ross Levinsohn and Josh Jacobs with technology innovators Bill Sornsin and Ben Joldersma.
