#ThePitch is a platform and video series launched by SheKnows Media in 2015 to elevate, connect and coach female entrepreneurs. At the annual #BlogHer conference, #ThePitch: Live enables women business owners and founders to pitch a high-profile panel of judges who provide their critiques in real time from the stage.
Bose, who is also a member of SheKnows Media’s Executive Advisory Board, will deliver opening remarks drawn from her best-selling book Mother Teresa, CEO, which explores unexpected lessons in leadership Bose learned as a volunteer with Mother Teresa’s mission. She will then be joined onstage by a previously announced panel of judges to conduct a Q&A with and offer critiques to the following list of women founders competing in this year’s competition:
- Jeanne Lewis, CEO and Founder of Capsure, a mobile app for capture, collaborating and sharing personal moments from the past, present and future in a private space.
- Lynn Johnson, Co-Founder and CEO of Spotlight:Girls, which produces the Go Girls! Camp, and celebrates and activates girls and women through multi-media learning experiences, products and events.
- Esosa Ighodaro, Co-Founder of CoSign, a platform that allows users to earn money by turning their photos into digital storefronts.
- Yasmine Mustafa, Co-Founder and CEO of ROAR for Good, which works on making the world a safer place with smart safety accessories and empathy education.
#ThePitch: Live winner is ultimately decided by a combination of rankings from the judges and the votes of the #BlogHer audience, comprising 2,000 content creators, social media influencers, entrepreneurs, industry luminaries and brand executives. To date, more than 60 women founders and business owners have been mentored by the program as a whole, which has been featured in premier publications such as Fast Company, Ebony Magazine, Business Journals, The Chicago Tribune, MediaPost and Tech Republic.
