U.S. Managing Director named one of Adweek’s 2017 Disruptors

Global CMO is named one of Adweek’s 2017 Media All-Stars

NEW YORK--()--For the very first time in its history, WPP’s Kinetic consecutively won two of Adweek’s people awards, recognizing the agency’s high-caliber talent and inclusive, people-focused culture.

Most recently, U.S. Managing Director Maureen McCloskey was named an Adweek Disruptor. The Disruptor award recognizes unparalleled accomplishments in the advancement of equality, diversity, inclusion and work-life balance within the media and marketing industry. Maureen is changing Kinetic’s corporate culture to be more inclusive, rewarding, and gratifying for future generations. She’s been an advocate for working parents by pushing for schedule flexibility, and started the mentorship program LEARN (Listen, Engage, Ask, Reciprocate, Navigate), through which her employees have a safe space to ask questions ranging from women in the workplace to navigating their budding careers. According to Adweek, Maureen’s most important role is mentor, taking pride in helping “young men and women in the office have confidence that they know more than they give themselves credit for and pushing them to take chances.” As part of implementing Kinetic’s strategic framework, Active Journeys, Maureen helped develop Kinetic’s Employee Enrichment Program (K.E.E.P.), a collaborative talent program created to equip employees with the ingenuity they need to grow personally and professionally at the agency.

This nomination comes on the heels of Global CMO Liliana Caro’s induction as an Adweek Media All-Star. The Adweek Media-All Stars awards are the industry’s highest accolades for media planning and buying, celebrating the year’s trailblazers. Liliana designed a new and innovative approach to communications planning, centered around audiences “on the move,” implementing and customizing that model across different markets and geographies.
