CALABASAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bob Ehrlich, President and CEO of Western General Insurance Company, a writer of Private Passenger Auto Insurance, announced the hiring of Denise M. Tyson, CPA, MBA, as the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Tyson’s responsibilities include improving Western General’s operational efficiencies, managing the daily operations of the Claims Department, and overseeing new initiates and business development.
“Denise is a needed addition to our team. She has extensive insurance industry experience, specifically with the internal operations of personal lines insurance companies that we need. She will be key to navigating us through our future operational changes,” said Mr. Ehrlich.
Before joining Western General, Ms. Tyson was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Workmen’s Auto Insurance Company and held several other executive positions with Workmen’s over a 10 year period. Prior to that she held executive level positions with Balboa Insurance Group and National Automobile Insurance Company. At the beginning of her career Ms. Tyson was in public accounting for 13 years starting with KPMG in New York City and ending with PwC in Los Angeles. “Denise is a strategic leader known for tackling difficult situations, quickly assessing issues and providing and implementing solutions.
