Spinsanity is the Latest Thrill to Whirl Into Six Flags St. Louis

New Mega-Disc Thrill Ride Takes Riders on a Spinning Frenzy

The new Spinsanity at Six Flags St. Louis takes thrill seekers to the edge of madness as the giant disc spins in one direction and then another all while arcing side to side on the half-pipe track. Sitting on motorcycle-styled seats, 40 riders soar at 14 revolutions per minute and up to 51 feet in the air while facing outward on this innovative, family thrill ride.

EUREKA, Mo.--()--Six Flags St. Louis, the Coaster Capital of Missouri, introduced the all-new Spinsanity today. This mega-disc, family thrill ride packs a punch of adrenaline with its dual rocking, spinning motion. This innovative new attraction is the first-of-its-kind at Six Flags St. Louis.

Joining in the spinning craze that is sweeping the country, Spinsanity whirls riders first one direction and then another, while arcing from side to side. Forty riders, positioned on unique motorcycle-style seats, face outward as the disc flies along a half-pipe track that reaches up to 51 feet in the sky. Traveling at 14 revolutions per minute, riders are never sure if they are coming or going as the rest of the park seems to swirl around them.

“Spinsanity is just one of many new thrilling experiences we are bringing our guests in 2017,” said Pete Carmichael, park president. “This new mega-disc ride, along with the new Galactic Attack Virtual Reality Coaster on Ninja and the debut of our Mardi Gras Festival and Parade in June truly gives everyone in the family something to be thrilled about at Six Flags St. Louis.”
