LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Goldberg Law PC, a national shareholder rights litigation firm, announces the filing of a class action lawsuit against Intra-Cellular Therapies, Inc. (“Intra-Cellular” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: ITCI) or violations of §10(b) and §20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Rule 10b-5 promulgated thereunder.
Investors who purchased the Company’s shares between August 12, 2014 and April 28, 2017 inclusive (the “Class Period”), are encouraged to contact the firm in advance of the July 11, 2017 lead plaintiff motion deadline.

The class in this case has not yet been certified, and until certification occurs, you are not represented by an attorney. If you choose to take no action, you can remain an absent class member.
The Complaint alleges that during the Class Period, Intra-Cellular violated federal securities laws by making materially false and misleading public statements and/or failing to disclose material information to investors. On August 4, 2016, the Company’s CEO Sharon Mates touted the “efficacy and safety of ITI-007 for the treatment of schizophrenia.” On May 1, 2017, Intra-Cellular disclosed that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration requested information from the Company in order to verify whether or not there are safety risks associated with long term exposure of ITI-007 to patients. When this news was announced, Intra-Cellular’s stock price dropped sharply, which caused investors harm.
