COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Accelerated Wealth Advisors, LLC (AW) announced that it has reached a settlement to resolve an inquiry of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), Division of Securities. The inquiry involved administrative matters related to a particular investment offering that took place between 2012-2014. The inquiry did not find any financial wrongdoing with AW client accounts and AW did not admit to any of the allegations.
The DORA inquiry involved an administrative agreement between AW and its clients on specific legacy investment offerings. AW had already addressed these matters internally for subsequent offerings including reinforcing its governance oversight and processes.
Bill Walton, founder and chief executive officer of Accelerated Wealth, stated, “We are pleased to have reached an amicable agreement and thank DORA for resolving these legacy issues. We believe the agreement is in the best interest of our clients and AW. The agreement allows us to avoid a costly legal process and focus our energy on what we do best – serving the needs of our clients and communities.”
AW is working with its partners to ensure that requirements under the agreement with DORA are satisfied while protecting the interests of its clients.
