LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Egremont Group, the London and Chicago based consultancy firm, scooped two major prizes at the Management Consultancy Association (MCA) 2017 awards last night. The team won Best New Consultancy and Change Management in the Private Sector for their two year business transformation programme for Walgreens’ Boots Alliance, one of the world’s largest retailers with 250,000 employees and 8,200 stores. They were highly commended by the judges for their International awards submission for their cultural change and performance improvement programme for Walgreens’ stores.
Egremont Group CEO Sean Connolly said: “This has been a fantastic night for Egremont, and we are very proud to have our work recognised in this way. I would like to thank Walgreens for inviting us to support them on two fascinating pieces of work and for the enthusiasm with which they embraced the solutions we designed and delivered together. The MCA Awards attract the very best submissions from across the whole industry, and to win Best New Consultancy and Change Management in the Private Sector when we were up against such a strong shortlist is a wonderful achievement.”
Egremont Group won the Change Management in the Private Sector category award for their two year business transformation programme for Walgreens Boots Alliance that has so far directly touched around 50,000 employees. Egremont deployed a team of 21 consultants who between them were change experts, innovators and industry experts, tasked with leading change on a massive scale. The project involved strategy execution, operating model and organisation design, process and operational excellence and leadership across head office and the stores. The result was a business transformation and a multi-million dollar benefits case.
Egremont Group was also presented with the ‘Best New Consultancy’ award which recognises a MCA member who is entering the awards for the first time, and who best demonstrates their client focus, delivery excellence, commitment to people and operational excellence via a presentation to the judging panel.
Commenting on this award, Sean Connolly, CEO at Egremont Group said: “We are particularly proud to be the recipients of this year’s MCA Best New Consultancy award. During the judging process we were able to explain exactly what makes Egremont different and demonstrate the real value we deliver to our clients through our many and varied engagements. We’d like to thank our clients for inviting us in to work on some truly innovative transformation programmes. Operational excellence can be an overused term, but for Egremont it lies at the heart of everything we do.”
