LONDON--()--Technavio has announced the top five leading vendors in their recent global construction sealants market report. This research report also lists nine other prominent vendors that are expected to impact the market during the forecast period.

Sealants are widely used in the building and construction industry for blocking dust, sound, heat, and fluid through openings at joints. Sealants and adhesives are two different compounds that are often used together. Sealants do not offer as much strength as adhesives do, but possess higher elongation property when compared with adhesives.

Competitive vendor landscape

According to the report, the global construction sealants market is characterized by the presence of both well-established vendors and small players. These vendors focus on the expansion of production plants and product innovations to gain market share.

Vendors are also investing highly in R&D to manufacture new products. Investments in R&D will not only lead to new product development but also provide an opportunity to differentiate their products from their competitors. Also, owing to the rise in demand for construction sealants, manufacturers are expanding their operations to other countries,” says Mahitha Mallishetty, a lead additives, adhesives, and sealants research analyst from Technavio.
