MISSION VIEJO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Auxilio, Inc. (NYSE MKT: AUXO), a leading provider of enterprise security and document workflow solutions for the healthcare industry, today announced that CynergisTek, a wholly owned subsidiary providing privacy, compliance and security consulting services to the healthcare industry, has added five new customers under its Compliance Assist Partner Program (CAPP) in the first quarter of 2017.
CynergisTek’s CAPP program provides recurring consulting services to assist in maintaining a proactive risk management program by performing standards-based periodic assessments, setting and achieving compliance goals, conducting periodic audits of key controls and providing ongoing privacy and security advisory services.
According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, there was a 320% increase in the number of healthcare providers victimized by hackers in 2016 vs. 2015. Patient Health Information (PHI) may be located, stored or used in numerous places, including often forgotten, printers, fax machines and multi-function devices, and with the healthcare environment becoming hyper-connected, the security challenge continues to grow in complexity. “We are seeing more and more hospital executives and their Board of Directors requiring regular audits against their security program and its controls, helping them understand how prepared they are to respond to the evolving threats, and if the organization is moving towards a more mature state. The recent contract wins highlight the demand we are seeing from major health systems for recurring security services that are both remedial and preventative in nature,” said Dr. Michael Mathews, President at CynergisTek.
The 3-5 year CAPP program, gives hospital clients and their executives access to 24/7 accessible subject matter experts in Security, Technical, Regulatory, Compliance, Research and Governance, covering the entire organization with one phone call. “One new CAPP contract win in particular was with an existing Auxilio customer, and while CynergisTek had entered into the sale process prior to closing the merger, the fact we are now a combined entity with significant financial resources and capabilities certainly aided in our ability to win that business,” said Mac McMillan, CEO at CynergisTek and President and Chief Strategy Officer at Auxilio. He continues by saying “We are pleased to see the adoption for both our security and document solutions services steadily rise and we will continue to offer our customers high-caliber expertise and service while expanding our geographic footprint.”
