Europorte France and its four unions, CGT, CFDT, SUD and CFTC, have signed a unanimous agreement on new working time arrangements in respect of the recent French Railway Reform.
This agreement sets out the long term commitment of the company to an industrial relations policy that promotes quality of life without impact on productivity:
- More visibility in shift planning, which works well for both staff and customers
- The creation of a Time Basket for the additional work related rest days set out in the Collective Agreement
- A quarterly review which will ensure rigour, continuity and reactivity in the application of this agreement.
Pascal Sainson, Chairman of Europorte, stated: “This agreement which has been signed unanimously by the unions will enable us to introduce a working time agreement that provides the best quality of life for our staff without increasing our costs. Rail freight is now, more than ever before, a competitive mode of transport for the future.
