ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NTE Carolinas, LLC (“NTE”), an affiliate of NTE Energy, announces the delivery of Mitsubishi’s GAC combustion turbine to the Kings Mountain Energy Center site, located in Cleveland County, NC. The natural gas-fired combustion turbine was placed on its foundation on April 11, 2017, marking a major milestone for the construction of the facility. Gemma Power Systems, LLC is the Engineering, Procurement and Construction contractor for the project. Construction of the Kings Mountain Energy Center began in March 2016, and is currently approximately 40% complete and on schedule to begin commercial operations in the summer of 2018. Currently, there are approximately 280 skilled construction workers on site, which is expected to rise as construction progresses further.
