W2O Group announced today the appointment of Eric M. Bacolas as Chief People Officer.

SAN FRANCISCO--()--W2O Group, a network of fast-growing, complementary digital, marketing and communications firms, announced today the appointment of Eric M. Bacolas as Chief People Officer.

He joins W2O Group from Conductor, a growth-stage, marketing technology start-up. Before that, he was chief talent officer at 360i, a digital media agency where he helped that company scale from 200 to 1,000 people and become an AdAge "Agency of the Year" and "Best-Place-to-Work" before it was acquired by the Dentsu-Aegis group.

“For the past 20 years, Eric has been helping disruptive businesses like ours rethink strategies to improve talent engagement and productivity and achieve incredible business outcomes,” said Jim Weiss, Founder and CEO of W2O Group, to whom Bacolas will report directly. “Eric will focus with me and my team on making W2O Group the best place it can possibly be to work in this or any other industry and helping us fully leverage talent and culture to maintain and sustain our growth and business performance. Simply put, it takes great people to do great work, and we are doubling down on getting the right people to make that happen.”

Bacolas will lead the firm’s human resources function where he will oversee talent recruitment and retention; staff training, engagement and development; policies and benefits; and leadership development. He will also help the firm seamlessly integrate its core talent and capabilities with recent and future acquisitions.

“I’m inspired by the work W2O Group is doing with its clients and encouraged by the leadership team’s genuine focus on and commitment to investing in and developing talent as a truly integral driver of its success,” said Bacolas. “W2O Group firms weave together technology, digital intelligence, influence and engagement into its profoundly different ‘Storytizing’ and ‘PreCommerce’ principles, which are designed to create a new value proposition for marketers, communicators and business leaders. The ability to quickly assimilate new capabilities, skills and talent is essential to nurturing a culture based on adaptive thinking, collaboration and integration. I’m thrilled to be a part of driving the firm’s promising future through a #OneTeamOneDream approach.”

Earlier in his career, Eric held people leadership roles at The Interpublic Group (IPG), where he supported several companies including DraftFCB, ID Media and R/GA.
