CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.--()--Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, the industry’s largest manufacturer of refrigerated trailers and a leading manufacturer of dry freight vans, flatbeds, and Tautliner® curtainsided trailers, is pleased to announce that its Paragould, Arkansas dry van manufacturing plant has attained another milestone. It recently manufactured its 150,000th dry van, a 4000D-X Composite® TBR, which was sold to Spirit Truck Lines by Utility Trailer Sales Southeast Texas, Inc.

“I want to extend a heartfelt congratulations to everyone at Paragould on achieving this milestone,” said Hal Bennett President for Utility Trailer Manufacturing. “Their continued commitment to excellence is a big reason why the 4000D-X Composite is the fastest selling trailer in our history.”

“I am also proud to be part of this achievement,” said David Neighbors, Plant Manager for Utility Trailer Manufacturing at Paragould. “This facility maintains a stellar safety record, excellent quality, and efficient operations, while producing upwards of 10,000 units per year and employing over 650 people. We hope to continue this long history of success in the years to come.”

The 150,000th dry van is a 4000D-X Composite TBR (tall bottom rail trailer), which was acquired by Spirit Truck Lines out of San Juan, Texas. “I am pleased that Spirit Truck Lines is the recipient of the 150,000th trailer to come off of the Paragould line,” said Jonny Loring, Jr., President of Utility Trailer Sales Southeast Texas. “They are one of our best customers, and have been since 1994.” Spirit Truck Lines began operations in 1990 with five trucks when the five Garza brothers - Raul, Johnny, David, Ramiro and Leonel, got together to create a new company. Today, their fleet consists of over 280 trucks and over 1,000 trailers.

The milestone trailer was presented to Spirit Truck Lines on March 14, 2017 at the Paragould facility with members of the Bennett, Loring and Garza families in attendance.
