GONZALES, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Southwest Engineers, Inc., a full-service civil and environmental engineering consulting firm, today announced 26 percent overall growth in its business as a catalyst to move to a larger business location at 112 Cimarron Park Loop Suite A, Buda, Texas 78610. Southwest Engineers focuses on public and private projects including commercial retail, multi-family subdivisions, institutional construction, land development and is known for its extensive expertise in water and wastewater systems.
“Since 2013, we have consistently increased revenues in our public and private practices and expect to reach 30 percent in the coming year,” said John Littlefield, owner and president of Southwest Engineers. “Our new location will accommodate hiring additional staff and create more project planning space to better serve our clients.”
Citing economic indicators, Yardi Matrix, an apartment market intelligence source, forecast new multifamily construction to be robust for 2016 and expects it to remain strong for another two years. Additionally, the Yardi Matrix U.S. Multifamily Outlook report for Spring 2016, reported 317,000 units were expected to be completed with more than 400,000 units under construction and another 680,000 in planning stages nationwide. As of September 2016, Austin had 16,300 units under construction with another 11,300 in various planning stages and nearly 14,000 in the prospective stage, as noted in Yardi Matrix’s Austin Multifamily Market Analysis Fall 2016.
The firm’s growth accompanies private sector projects including new Austin developments in retail, commercial and venues, as well as improvements to handicap access ramps for a city hospital. Southwest Engineers also works closely with municipalities such as the City of Leon Valley, City of Kenedy, the Refugio County Water Control and Improvement District (WCID) No. 1 in Tivoli and the City of Falls City. The firm recently rehabilitated a wastewater lift station, selected an arsenic removal treatment system that met Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and Environmental Protection Agency guidelines and designed a new Edwards Aquifer public supply well to deliver drinking water.
In addition, Southwest Engineers helps municipalities obtain project funding through the Community Development Block Grant program administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Affairs (TDA-ORA).
