SANTA MONICA, Calif.--()--Titan Platform US, a global creativity and technology development company based in Santa Monica, CA, announces the addition of digital media entertainment executives Kelly DiGregorio as Chief Content Officer and Richard Sussman as Chief Revenue Officer to head content strategy and business development for the U.S.

“As we build out the US market for Titan and look to differentiate as a challenger brand, it all starts with top talent,” said Adrian Sexton, CEO, Titan Platform US. “Based on Kelly’s leadership at YouTube, Verizon, Intel and Alibaba’s Lazada, Titan will distinguish our smart content offering by giving it a defined programming voice. On the revenue side, Richard’s successes driving strategy and monetization across TiVo/Rovi, Gracenote, IPG, Nielsen and multiple start-ups will put Titan Platform on the global map for advertisers and businesses seeking to use data and video content to create more engaging consumer experiences.”

Kelly DiGregorio, Chief Content Officer, comes to Titan Platform from Lazada, where she was SVP Partnerships for the Southeast Asia region. Alibaba acquired Lazada in April 2016 for $1 billion for an undisclosed majority stake. Prior to Lazada, DiGregorio was Director of Content Partnerships for Verizon Communications’ go90, joining the company as part of Verizon’s acquisition of Intel’s OnCue. DiGregorio spent six years in Content Partnerships at Google-owned YouTube, developing new business models and partnerships for digital content distributed across YouTube, GoogleTV, and Android Market/Google Play. She negotiated over 50 deals per quarter to launch YouTube’s staple AVOD partner program following Google’s acquisition, secured over 10,000 titles for the U.S. and Canada launch of Google Play TVOD/EST, and led content programming and production for over $20M in event-based brand sponsorships offered through YouTube’s on-demand and live streaming services.

DiGregorio was instrumental in establishing both content and operations for Google Play, navigating partnerships with back-end partners such as Deluxe, DETE, Premiere Digital, and Rovi in addition to major studio partnerships. She was awarded the Producers Guild of America’s Digital VIP award for her work on YouTube’s first original programming fund, which developed into the video host’s $100M original channels initiative. As part of this channels initiative, DiGregorio helped incubate several new digital content networks, including the JASH comedy network (Sarah Silverman, Tim Heidecker & Eric Wareheim, Reggie Watts, Michael Cera), which has subsequently sold series to go90, Comedy Central, MTV and Syfy. At Intel’s OnCue, DiGregorio mixed digital programming deals with linear programming deals, setting the stage for OTT service MVPD rights with the broadcast and cable networks. DiGregorio’s prior work in branded media and filmed entertainment includes posts at Interpublic Group, New Line Cinema, and Warner Bros.

With an initial focus on creating a curated, lean-back content experience for both U.S. and Asia, DiGregorio will lead content strategy and programming for Titan’s smart content platform across Titan’s set-top device and digital signage display network. Utilizing her experience at YouTube, DiGregorio will also work with talent, influencers and brands to develop content-enabled ecommerce that empowers programming distributed by Titan Platform with new forms of monetization.

With so many companies in the media space focused on either platform or hardware offerings, it’s inspiring from a content perspective to join a company that is forging a direct relationship between programming and distribution, and has the talent in both camps to pull it off,” said DiGregorio. “There’s a unique opportunity at Titan to curate content that enhances their ecosystem—spanning smart IoT, e-commerce and immersive entertainment experiences like VR and Cloud Karaoke.”

Richard Sussman, Chief Revenue Officer for Titan Platform US, has more than eighteen years of experience as founder, board member, advisor and investor in a number of VC-funded, early-stage companies. Sussman comes to Titan from TiVo/Rovi with a proven track record in public companies including The Nielsen Company, which acquired Netratings for $328M where Sussman was revenue head. Nielsen then purchased the remaining interest in Nielsen Buzz Metrics for $47M which became Nielsen Digital where Sussman was monetization lead for its M&E business. Sussman was also business development lead at Baseline, Inc., acquired by Gracenote for $50M, and continued in this role when Tribune Media acquired Gracenote for $170M, then recently sold to Nielsen for $560M.

Sussman oversaw the strategy of $500M in media spend strategy and optimization for companies like Hyundai-Kia, Logitech, PepsiCo, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, and Lionsgate Films. Sussman led partner and client growth closing several ten-digit multi-year SaaS, licensing and data solutions deals representing over 150 accounts with Google, Apple, Disney, Viacom, Netflix, NewsCorp, Samsung, Comcast and others.

Sussman will lead growth strategy and monetization for Titan across the ecosystem platform with an emphasis on revenue partnerships, licensing and hardware sales for the smart set-top and display devices. He will also focus on related data discovery to inform the content and marketing offerings for the group. Sussman is building out a monetization team with key hires from Samsung and T-Mobile.

“There are a lot of companies chasing platform innovations in AI, VR, IoT, and content-to-commerce services and they’re struggling to find their market position. Titan incorporates all of these diverse platforms into one agnostic ecosystem, providing media and technology gateways for home, education, medical, government and business,” said Sussman. “I’m excited to build Titan’s business solutions at this nexus of content, data and technology.”
