SAN FRANCISCO--()--PicsArt, the leading image editing app and creative social network, today announced the release of community-powered stickers. Starting today, users can make their own custom stickers and discover and share stickers with friends. Stickers leverage PicsArt’s powerful editing tools including drawing, image effects and text overlays. Stickers can be created, downloaded and remixed in PicsArt and Remix Chat, and shared in iMessage and other messaging services and social networks. PicsArt now attracts more than 90 million monthly active users.

The introduction of stickers to PicsArt's platform adds another layer of fun, creative expression alongside photo editing, collage making, drawing, and social editing. PicsArt’s user-powered gallery of FTE (free-to-edit) images -- with over 6 million images and counting -- is one of the world’s largest repositories of open source images. Now, all of those images are available for use in sticker creation. In this new update, stickers shared publicly are made available for use by everyone in PicsArt's global community and creative ecosystem.

Discover trending stickers and stickers made by friends and others in the PicsArt community in the new in-app gallery where all stickers have attribution to the original creator. Download and customize stickers with doodles, artistic AI Magic effects, and more, and save favorite stickers to a private collection for easy access. Stickers can be added to other images and shared with friends via PicsArt’s in-app messaging service Remix Chat, as well as on iMessage, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, and other popular social services and networks.

The possibilities with PicsArt stickers are endless:

  1. Turn your beloved pup into custom stickers for the cutest dog-mojis around. Puppy Power
  2. Try your hand at artful photobombing - turn yourself into a sticker and paste onto celebrity photos or group shots of your friends that you missed out on. I Miss You
  3. Create cool kaleidoscope or cause-oriented profile photos, wallpapers and birthday art for friends by stamping out selfie stickers. Stay Nasty
  4. Cut out favorite cartoon characters or realistic Easter bunnies into stickers and paste onto realistic backgrounds - for “proof” that will keep holiday magic alive for at least another 5 years. Fake the Magic

“Stickers broaden how our community can create and express themselves,” said PicsArt CEO Hovhannes Avoyan. “Ever since we launched our Cutout tool with accurate edge detection it’s been a hugely popular feature - more than 200,000 users make images and collages with it every day. We decided to enhance Cutout with the ability to create crisp, sharable stickers to encourage personalization and creation by providing users with a rich set of tools for making, sharing and discovering stickers.”

The new version is available to download starting today on iOS and Android. To read more about how to use stickers in PicsArt, click here. Screenshots and video clips can be found in this Media Kit.
