SOLAMERICA ENERGY PARTNERS WITH COLLUM’S LUMBER PRODUCTS TO LAUNCH NEW SOLAR ARRAY

Bill Credit Program with South Carolina Electric & Gas promotes positive economics for Collum’s Lumber

SolAmerica Energy of Atlanta, GA (“SolAmerica”) announced today that they will spearhead a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:00 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, to activate a new 924 kW single-axis tracker solar array on the property of Collum’s Lumber Products in Allendale, SC. The ten-acre site on Collum’s Lumber Products property will generate energy income for the company through a Bill Credit Program with South Carolina Electric & Gas (SCE&G).

“This solar project makes a lot of sense for our business, from both an economic and environmental standpoint,” stated Mickey Scott, president of Collum’s Lumber Products, LLC. “We have evaluated several renewable energy projects in the past, and are very pleased that this one worked out.”

Executives from Collum’s and from SolAmerica, along with local leaders from Allendale, and trade-business-community media will be on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony and to celebrate the activation of this new solar installation.

The array was designed, engineered and installed by SolAmerica, a leading commercial solar development and installation company headquartered in Atlanta.

“This project is a great example of the value that solar energy can drive for commercial users and for landowners,” stated George Mori, executive vice president of SolAmerica. “We are thrilled to partner with Collum’s Lumber and SCE&G on this project, as one of the first large commercial solar projects in South Carolina.”
