PHOENIX--()--Aspect Software, a global provider of fully-integrated consumer engagement, workforce optimization and self-service solutions, announced today that Gregg Clevenger has joined the company as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He brings more than 25 years of financial leadership experience including more than 15 years as CFO of numerous public, private equity backed and venture backed companies.

Clevenger comes to Aspect most recently from NanoSteel, where he led a complex debt and equity restructuring that set the stage for the company to raise new equity capital from outside investors. Prior to NanoSteel he was CFO of GXS Corporation, the world’s largest B2B integration cloud services provider, for which he played a key role in repositioning the company for growth and ultimately selling it to Open Text Corporation. Clevenger has more than 25 years of international finance experience having served as CFO and board director of both privately held and public companies across multiple industries including telecom and technology services, cleantech, and life and materials sciences. Prior to his career as CFO, Clevenger was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Argent Group in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore.

“Given the success of our transformation from a traditional software company to a leading cloud provider, Aspect is ready to add a growth-oriented CFO to our team,” said Stew Bloom, Aspect CEO. “Among a strong field of candidates, Gregg clearly stood out as his financial pedigree, operational discipline, and personal leadership style will greatly enhance Aspect’s leadership with our customers, investors and employees.”

"As a premier provider of cloud-based contact center, self-service and workforce optimization solutions, Aspect is exceptionally well-positioned in a rapidly changing consumer engagement space," says Clevenger. "With the launch of Aspect Via™, our new Customer Engagement Center, and a continued pivot to the cloud, I’m anxious to help facilitate growth into new markets and opportunities and unlock value for our shareholders, employees and customers.”

Clevenger earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and an MBA degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
