PORT WASHINGTON, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Franklin Energy Services, LLC, a leading national energy efficiency program implementation firm, has announced the appointment of Ed McGlynn to the position of Vice President of Large C&I Strategy. In this role, he will guide the program design, strategy and development of new products for all of Franklin Energy’s new and existing large C&I customer programs.
With more than 30 years in the energy efficiency and utility industries, McGlynn brings a strong track record applying vision, leadership and innovation to advancing energy efficiency programs and policies targeting the C&I building sector to Franklin Energy. This includes development and support of multimillion-dollar utility and governmental programs; assessments of energy efficient products and systems; information technology development; and developing and driving global market strategies.
McGlynn was most recently Principal, Utility Solutions with Nexant, where he was responsible for overseeing the management of utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs and providing energy efficiency consulting advice to electric and gas utilities. Prior to that, McGlynn was Technical Director for ICF International and Director of Implementation Services for KEMA, preceded by more than a decade spent designing, delivering and evaluating large-scale C&I programs at utility companies National Grid and NSTAR Electric & Gas.

McGlynn is a member of the Board of Directors of the New Buildings Institute, a Certified Buildings Commissioning Professional (CBCP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and holds an MBA from Providence College, and a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
