MASHANTUCKET, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Foxwoods® Resort Casino has reported slot revenue of $35.3 million for the month of December 2016. This figure is down 6.4 percent compared to $37.7 million in December of 2015. Handle for the month was $465.7 million, down .07 percent from the $466 million wagered in the same month in 2015.
Foxwoods’ contribution to the Connecticut Special Revenue Fund in December 2016 is $9.4 million, bringing the cumulative contribution to the state since Foxwoods opened in 1992 to over $3.9 billion.
The property made spirits bright in December, beginning with the Foxwoods Holiday Slot Tournament which awarded over $40,000 in cash and prizes to guests throughout the month.
