WAKEFIELD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Percipient Networks, a provider of cloud-based intelligent malware solutions aimed at small businesses, today unveiled a new feature for its flagship solution: Strongarm, Always-On Protection. The latest update to the cloud-deployed solution is designed to enable small and medium-size businesses (SMBs) to easily protect mobile workers from sophisticated social engineering and malware attacks no matter where they are working or connecting to the internet. Conventional approaches to protecting these users require VPNs or agents, technologies that are a challenge for SMBs to implement, manage and enforce. Strongarm’s light-weight solution makes it simple for small IT departments to easily configure employee-owned and corporate devices to protect them from phishing, ransomware and other exploits.
According to the SANS Institute, more than 50 percent of organizations rely on their users to protect their devices when they work outside of the office. This places an inordinate amount of responsibility on more than 96.2 million mobile employees to protect sensitive information against advanced hacker tactics such as fake wireless access points, watering holes, spear phishing and spymail. Traditional security solutions don’t always protect these workers so an additional layer of security is necessary to keep up with cybercriminals’ evolving attack techniques.
“Entrepreneurs and executives at SMBs can rarely take their foot off the gas which requires them to work from literally everywhere. These people need solutions that protect them regardless of where their business takes them and what device they are working on,” said Todd O’Boyle, chief technology officer and co-founder of Percipient Networks. “Strongarm is a simple, automated solution to help ensure sensitive information is never at risk, no matter where mobile workers access sensitive data.”
Always-On Protection is included with Strongarm today. SMBs can sign up for a free trial account at: https://app.strongarm.io/accounts/signup/.
