WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) President and CEO James C. Greenwood issued the following statement today regarding passage of the 21st Century Cures Act by the U.S. Senate:
“The 21st Century Cures Act, passed by the Senate today with overwhelming bipartisan support, is an important victory for medical innovation that will help expedite the development of the next generation of breakthrough medicines to save lives and reduce suffering for millions of patients, while helping to lower other healthcare costs.
