HOUSTON--()--Solaris Oilfield Infrastructure, LLC (“Solaris”) has tripled its manufacturing rate to meet growing demand for its mobile proppant management systems. The company anticipates it will realize a 100 percent increase in 2017, with anticipated deliveries of proppant rising to 9 million tons compared with expected 2016 deliveries of 4.5 million tons. Solaris is the industry’s leading independent supplier of mobile proppant systems with an estimated 15 percent market share.

“Solaris has continued to gain market share during the industry slowdown,” said William Zartler, Solaris chairman and chief executive officer. “Our mobile system is the most dynamic solution in the market today. It provides the highest inventory-to-footprint ratio and maintains flexible last-mile proppant transportation options through industry standard and prolific pneumatic transportation trucks, while virtually eliminating silica dust exposure from the well site.”

Solaris recently reached a major milestone with the deployment of its 30th mobile proppant management system. Solaris currently operates these mobile systems – the Solaris Mobile Sand Silo System – in nearly every major oil and gas play in the United States, including the STACK and SCOOP; the Midland and Delaware basins; and the Eagle Ford, Haynesville, Marcellus and Utica shales. Solaris expects to have 45 systems in its fleet by mid-2017.

“Operators continue to increase their completion intensity, drill longer laterals, increase the number of frac stages per well and place higher concentrations of sand per lateral foot,” said Greg Garcia, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Our mobile systems enhance the proppant logistics chain by providing increased well-site inventory storage and 24 truck unloading positions, which combine to greatly reduce the challenges associated with delivering ever-increasing amounts of proppant per well.”
