Azuqua and Pivotal Join Forces to Connect Cloud Native Applications with Enterprise Systems at Fortune 1000 Companies

SEATTLE--()--Azuqua, the leading innovator of fast, agile software integration, is collaborating with Pivotal®, the company accelerating digital transformation, to add additional connectivity to applications built on the Pivotal Cloud Foundry® platform. The launch of Azuqua on the Pivotal Network means customers can now quickly build applications that connect to commercial cloud solutions, trigger custom workflows, and utilize internal data and microservices to better respond to rapidly changing customer needs.

“The key to building apps in today’s fast changing environment is to leverage APIs and commercial tools as much as possible so developers don’t need to build everything from scratch,” said Nikhil Hasija, CEO of Azuqua. “Rather than spending time learning APIs, developers can focus on innovation. What’s more, business teams are already using SaaS solutions hosted in the cloud. Now developers can leverage these connectors as reusable widgets within their Pivotal Cloud Foundry apps.”

Today’s customers want a great experience across multiple platforms including social, web, mobile, phone, and the physical. Providing the best experience for each touchpoint in a cohesive way is a huge challenge to IT teams that are constantly working to deliver new digital solutions. The Azuqua and Pivotal collaboration solves this problem by enabling engineering teams to use the commercial applications already embedded in their organizations but in a smart way – as now they are plugged into the larger ecosystem built by IT.

“Developers building apps running on Pivotal Cloud Foundry can create and share sophisticated workflows through an intuitive interface to connect their apps to a variety of back-end databases, commercial SaaS applications, and custom APIs. Azuqua enables developers to create richer and more interactive applications quickly,” says Nima Badiey, Head of Business Development for Pivotal Cloud Foundry at Pivotal.

“At GE, we chose to build Predix, GE’s platform for the Industrial Internet, on Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Azuqua as the workflow provider within Predix. The combination of these two tools empowers our developers to create powerful, robust industrial IoT applications faster,” said Hima Mukkamala, Head of Predix Platform Engineering.
