CLARION & OIL CITY, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On September 15, 2016, American Renal Associates LLC (ARA), together with certain of its local physician partners, purchased Renal Care of Clarion, LLC dialysis center in Clarion, Pennsylvania and Renal Care of Oil City, Inc. dialysis center in Cranberry, Pennsylvania from Dr. David Brooker, who will remain a co-owner of the centers, and entities affiliated with members of the Dreiling family. The effective date of the purchase was September 1, 2016. The dialysis centers will be renamed Clarion Dialysis Center and Oil City Dialysis Center, respectively, and will be managed by ARA. Prior to the sale, Dreiling Medical Management Corporation (Dreiling) managed both of the centers and Dr. David Brooker served as each center’s medical director.
Clarion Dialysis Center will continue to serve patients in the greater Clarion area from its location at 800 East Main Street, providing in-center hemodialysis and home training and support services for patients that choose peritoneal dialysis.
ARA will further the efforts initiated by Dreiling to reopen Oil City Dialysis Center (formerly known as Renal Care of Oil City) at Cranberry Mall (Oil City) after the closing of this location in December 2015 due to issues related to Medicare. Since that time, Dreiling has worked diligently to reopen the Oil City center. As a result, Dreiling and ARA are pleased that their individual and collaborative efforts should allow the patients of Oil City to once again, in the near future, access their dialysis care locally.
“This transaction provides an opportunity to continue to build on the work that Dreiling has done over the past twelve years in providing access to quality dialysis services to patients in the Clarion and Cranberry areas. I look forward to working with the dedicated local caregivers and staff to ensure a seamless transition for the patients in this region.” says Dr. David Brooker.
