MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Quantitative Software Management, Inc. (QSM), a leader in software process improvement and systems development estimation, today announced it has been awarded four prime task order contracts with the U.S. Army.
Under these contracts, QSM will provide cost estimation services that will better enable the Army to predict cost requirements for effectively developing and maintaining software systems. QSM will also provide technical support services in the areas of data analysis and the development of predictive cost relationships to inform future cost estimates.
QSM has been working with the Army since early 2007, during which time it has helped to statistically analyze software data and identify key cost estimating relationships in support of this work.
“The U.S. Army is deeply committed to the success of critical software development research, which will have significant impacts on overall Army cost estimation and budgeting processes,” said Angela Maria Lungu, Managing Director, QSM. “We are extremely pleased to continue our participation in this valuable research and maintain our long-term relationship with the Army.”
The supported organization’s mission is to develop and implement a system- and enterprise-level software measurement, estimation, evaluation, and analysis methodology to directly support objective estimation and assessment of projected software costs across the operational portion of the system life cycle.
