BEIJING & SHANGHAI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CSOFT International, a leading provider of globalization and localization solutions, has announced its 12th Annual World Summit in Shanghai, China, entitled “Thriving In A Global Economy: It's A Small World After All.” Commencing September 22nd, this year’s Summit will gather CSOFT executives, chief linguists, industry experts, media, academics, and government officials from 30 countries for insightful discourse on how innovation is shaping the global economy, with a particular focus on the translation and localization industry.
The 12th Annual CSOFT Summit will feature industry leaders and keynote speakers including Shane Tedjarati, CEO & President of Global High Growth Regions at Honeywell, Huang Youyi, Member of People's Political Consultative Committee & Executive Vice President of the Translation Association of China, and a special guest speaker from Shanghai Disney on their park policy “Authentically Disney, Distinctly Chinese.”
Since its inauguration in 2003, the CSOFT Summit tradition has grown from an internal alignment of corporate missions into Asia’s largest language, technology, and culture event dedicated to promoting cross-cultural communications and addressing challenges in cross-border exchanges. Last year’s summit was themed “Innovation in the Sharing Economy” and we plan to further expand on that topic this year. We will examine what it looks like to thrive in today’s global economy and how we can work through the challenges while taking advantage of the opportunities that arise from living in this increasingly connected world.
Marisa Drew, Co-Head EMEA Investment Banking and Capital Markets at Credit Suisse, who attended our 2015 conference as a keynote speaker will be returning to join a panel with Michael Kuan, Chairman of Kuan Capital to discuss how mega-trends impact the sharing economy. Bill Powell, the Asia Editor & Chief International Correspondent at Newsweek Magazine, will also attend to host a panel. The Summit will additionally feature a variety of guests and speakers from Hologic, Alibaba, GE, Carestream, UBTECH, Lenovo, and more.
A special feature of the 12th annual summit will be the announcement of CSOFT's new initiative inspired by Let Girls Learn, #GetSchooled. This initiative uses CSOFT's extensive worldwide language and culture network to mobilize CSOFT Ambassadors who are committed to spreading the message, raising awareness, and organizing fundraising for the LGL Initiative.
"We are thrilled to have guests from around the world come join us in Shanghai," said Shunee Yee, President & CEO of CSOFT. "This Summit will be unlike any before in both scale and diversity. We are so excited to continue discussions of the global economy and what we can do to bring positive change to the 'small world' that we live in."
The event will conclude on September 24th with a Disney Day and VIP Executive Tea Time at the exclusive Club 33 at the newly opened Shanghai Disney.
