Inc. Magazine’s annual list ranks the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Introduced in 1982, the Inc. 500 includes notable alums such as Zappos, SAS, LinkedIn and Microsoft. It ranks privately held companies based on percentage revenue growth over a three-year period, with 2016 marking the first year of eligibility for nCino. The company has been in high-growth mode since its 2012 founding, each year boasting impressive revenue gains, for a total revenue increase of more than 1,800% from 2012 to 2015.
“As we expand the reach of our technology and diversify our customer base, inclusion in the Inc. 500 ranking is an important benchmark that signals our progressive success,” said Pierre Naudé, CEO of nCino. “This accolade is a true testament to our relevance in the financial services space, and our focus on creating speed, convenience and transparency between banker and customer. As we continue to drive innovation and digital engagement across the industry, we look forward to ongoing progress and momentum.”
This acknowledgement comes on the heels of a significant period of growth for nCino. Over the past year, the company’s technology has substantially evolved for bankers to more fully support customer relationships within the platform; features including Treasury Management Onboarding, Customer Portal, Deposit Account Opening and Loan Auto Decision are now part of the nCino Bank Operating System. With more enhancements coming this fall and a firm position in the market, nCino continues to grow its customer base of financial institutions as well as its workforce – now 235 employees strong.
The Inc. 500 is published each summer based on factors that include revenue and job growth. According to Inc. Magazine, the 2016 ranking is the most competitive list in the publication’s history.
