CLEVELAND & CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce the addition of three new attorneys in its Cleveland and Chicago offices. Trevor J. Hardy and Adam R. Watowicz join the firm as Cleveland-based associates in the Litigation and Employee Benefits/ERISA practices respectively, while Denise Fesdjian joins as a Chicago-based Financial Services associate.
Trevor J. Hardy
Hardy joins Ulmer & Berne from the Cleveland office of Mazanec, Raskin & Ryder Co., where he was an associate. His practice is focused on complex business litigation and employment and labor litigation, representing and counseling public and private companies on a wide range of issues in both state and federal courts. Hardy’s experience includes managing discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and other aspects of litigation.
Hardy earned his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from Case Western University School of Law.
Adam R. Watowicz
Watowicz was an associate in the Indianapolis office of Krieg DeVault LLP before moving to Cleveland to join Ulmer & Berne. Concentrating in the area of employee benefits and executive compensation, he counsels private and public employers, as well as trustees and TPAs, regarding benefit plans and programs, including qualified defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, nonqualified deferred compensation plans, severance pay plans, group health plans, the Affordable Care Act, and fringe benefit plans, among others. Watowicz also has experience representing clients before the U.S. Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service. He previously served as an Employee Benefits & Tax Moritz Fellow Attorney at The Ohio State University Office of Legal Affairs.
Watowicz earned his B.A. from Miami (Ohio) University, and his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
Fesdjian joins Ulmer & Berne from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), where she was an investigative analyst. At Ulmer & Berne, she represents broker-dealers, investment advisors, and registered persons operating in the financial services industry, providing regulatory compliance counseling and defending clients from regulatory investigations and enforcement actions brought by FINRA, the United States Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), and state securities, as well as arbitrations brought by customers and investors. At FINRA, Fesdjian used data-driven analytical techniques to detect potential violations of securities laws and regulations, conducting highly complex and technical investigations that monitored for potential fraud and market manipulation.
Fesdjian earned her B.A. from Michigan State University, and her J.D. from the Michigan State University College of Law.
