The alliance enables UQM to create a full electric drivetrain system called the “UQM PowerPhaseDT” which will allow customers in the medium and heavy-duty EV commercial markets to achieve increased performance, acceleration and efficiency. Pi Innovo will develop and supply UQM with the transmission control unit and Eaton will provide a 2-speed transmission for an EV application.
