SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--React Mobile, a leader in personal safety technology, today announced that its React Sidekick, a wearable panic button that turns any smartphone into a powerful lifeline, is now available for purchase at Target.com. As a result of React Mobile’s distribution agreement with Target.com, the React Sidekick is immediately available to over 1.2 million daily website shoppers and more than 1.9 million mobile shoppers.
“The Target guest is digitally savvy, very family oriented, and appreciates great products,” said Robb Monkman, Founder and CEO of React Mobile. “We’re honored to be reaching these shoppers and to have our personal safety technology available to families that may be preparing for the upcoming school year. Child safety and emergency family communication is often a back-to-school checklist item that gets ignored. Together with Target.com, we’re making it easy for families to address this important safety measure.”
The React Sidekick, which can be worn on a clip or keychain, pairs with the free React Mobile safety app via LE Bluetooth. With a single click of the Sidekick, users can activate the app and issue an SOS alert for immediate emergency assistance, even when their phone screen is locked or their phone is out of reach. The React Mobile safety app’s “Follow-Me” feature shares the user’s location with friends, family, administrators or colleagues, enabling them to track the user’s whereabouts in real-time and follow him or her to safety. Users can also choose to automatically post their alerts to Facebook and Twitter.
As Seen On TV, the React Sidekick retails for $69.00 and is also available at other online retailers, including Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Kmart.com, Sears.com and at ReactMobile.com. Pricing and availability is subject to change.
