HI-FI Unveils Tagcasting, Enabling Publishers, Businesses and Individuals to Harness the Power of LIVE Video

Brands and Users Can Now Reach Qualified, Self-Selected Audiences via LIVE Broadcasts to Engage and Monetize in Real Time on HI-FI, The Mobile Lifestyle Network

Called Tagcasting™, the new LIVE video capability empowers brands and users alike to reach qualified, self-selected audiences with targeted video content organized by topic within the HI-FI platform. Distinct from most streaming applications that organize content by presenter or geography and provide little indication of theme or relevance, HI-FI provides publishers and brands greater consumer engagement and potential for monetization by delivering content in the category and context of users’ expressed interests.

Launched this June, the HI-FI Marketplace is a new service where publishers, businesses and individuals create and buy their own hashtag sites hosted on HI-FI, similarly to how websites are hosted on the internet. These hashtag sites, called Tagtopics, are mobile community destinations featuring curated news and lifestyle content, organized by category and topic, which flow into a user’s newsfeed filtered by their interests, as opposed to who they know. This enables micro-communities of consumers with shared passions to form around each Tagtopic. Now, LIVE broadcasting is available through every Tagtopic, allowing brands, publishers and individuals to extend audience engagement, give expanded coverage to current stories and events, and provide advertising partners a broader reach. Additionally, Tagcasting enables interaction between presenter and audience with two-way communication through built-in chat capabilities.
