New Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Members Can Take Health Risk Screening at Kiosks, Earn Reward

Program Applies to Select Members of Hoosier Healthwise, Healthy Indiana and Hoosier Care Connect Plans

INDIANAPOLIS--()--New members of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s Hoosier Healthwise, Healthy Indiana Plan and Hoosier Care Connect plans in Indiana can now take a health risk assessment at a Pursuant Health kiosk at any Wal-Mart store in the state, earn a $10 reward and share information that could help them enroll in important Anthem health management programs to improve their health.

Eligible members can take their Anthem Rewards card to the kiosk at their nearest Wal-Mart store pharmacy. They activate the card by scanning it at the kiosk and earn a $10 reward loaded to the Anthem Rewards card as long as they take the health survey within 90 days of their enrollment. The card can be used in that store and applied to most merchandise. Existing Anthem Medicaid members can take the health survey online or on the telephone.

“More and more consumers are accessing health information in non-traditional settings that offer convenience and time savings,” said Kristen Metzger, president of Anthem’s Indiana Medicaid plans. “The health survey takes just a few minutes and enables us to better serve our members, especially those who might benefit from Anthem programs that help manage pregnancy, diabetes, high blood pressure and other health conditions. The Anthem Rewards card is one way we are simplifying health care so that our members can focus on their health.”

The Anthem Rewards program is designed to reward Anthem Medicaid members for participating in healthy activities, such as having an annual preventive care visit with their primary care provider or participating in a tobacco cessation program. Members will be notified of how they can earn additional reward opportunities. Upon completion of an eligible activity, the incentive will be loaded to the member’s Anthem Rewards card.
