Credit Education and Student Loan Options to be Discussed at National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators National Conference Next Week

WASHINGTON--()--The National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), which serves as a national forum for student financial aide issues, will convene for its annual conference in Washington, D.C. from July 10 to July 13. The conference is the premier event serving the student financial aid community where thousands of student aid professionals from across the country come together to learn, network, and share best practices.

As regulations and processes in the financial aid space change, the discussion surrounding tuition options has evolved as well. This year’s conference will feature a session called “Students and Credit: Uses and Awareness” led by Joseph DePaulo, Co-founder and CEO of College Ave Student Loans, and Rod Griffin, Director of Public Education for Experian plc.

This session will focus on helping financial aid professionals understand the ins and outs of private credit and how private student loans work to fill tuition gaps. Additionally, they will discuss tools for students to become aware of credit and the importance of credit education as they progress through college.

For 50 years, NASFFA has been fostering a well-trained collaborative of professionals who advocate for the equal access and opportunity of higher education. The growing need to fill education cost gaps with private student and parent loans makes this conference session imperative to understanding all of the options available for students to finance their education.
