WELLFORD, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Startex-Jackson-Wellford-Duncan Water District (SJWD) has announced a partnership with HomeServe USA (HomeServe), a leading provider of home repair solutions, to offer optional home repair service solutions to their more than 20,000 customers. SJWD residential customers will be able to purchase optional service plans covering water service lines, sewer lines, as well as in-home plumbing and water heaters through HomeServe.
The optional repair plans that SJWD is making available to their customers through HomeServe are affordable and protect homeowners from the high cost and inconvenience of home repair emergencies. Many homeowners are unaware that repairs like water service line breaks or sewer line blockages are not covered by basic homeowner’s insurance policies. These kind of home emergencies can catch a homeowner off guard and place a strain on their finances. The service plans that SJWD is offering through HomeServe are cost-effective and provide a better way to manage the expense and inconvenience that often come with home repair emergencies.
“We chose HomeServe as our recommended provider of residential service line protection programs after careful deliberation and an extensive internal review process,” says Jeff Diaz, CIO of SJWD. “The plans that HomeServe offers are appealing to us because they protect our customers against the usually unexpected and costly impact of service line repairs.”
“In addition to covering the cost of the repair, these service plans will provide SJWD customers with reputable, local contractors that will do the best possible job,” said Tom Rusin, CEO of HomeServe USA. “By partnering with SJWD, we hope to provide financial protection to homeowners, as well as take the worry out of searching for a dependable contractor.”
In addition, the program is allowing SJWD to establish a special fund to support repairs and other assistance for low income customers.
SJWD customers who choose to purchase HomeServe plans will have access to a Repair Hotline that is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year as well as local, licensed, and insured contractors to provide high-quality home repair services to customers in a timely manner.
