JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Macquarie Group – a global provider of financial, advisory, investment and funds management services – today announced that it has appointed Anthony Glenn as the head of the firm’s Jacksonville office. Macquarie also announced a recruitment drive for additional Finance roles in Jacksonville.
Anthony Glenn will lead Macquarie’s Finance team in Jacksonville, starting July 5. He joins Macquarie from Credit Suisse, where he headed that firm’s Finance group in Raleigh, North Carolina. Mr. Glenn worked at Credit Suisse for more than 15 years in various Finance roles, and he headed that firm’s Raleigh Finance team since 2007.
“Anthony brings a deep and varied skill set to Macquarie,” said Glen Skarott, Deputy Group Controller for Macquarie’s Financial Management Group and interim head of the firm’s Jacksonville office. “He is a chartered accountant with 20 years of international experience in financial services, and he has helped build out a Finance function in a similar structure before. Macquarie first announced it would establish a Global Finance Services center in Northeast Florida in July 2015. The firm cut the ribbon on its new space at Riverplace Tower on the city’s Southbank in February of 2016. Macquarie now employs about 70 people in Jacksonville and recently started efforts to recruit about 30 more finance professionals to the office.
