NEW ORLEANS--()--Samsung Electronics America, a global leader in hospitality solutions, is sharing its latest innovations at HITEC 2016 designed to empower hoteliers to offer the ultimate hospitality experience for their guests. Samsung is showcasing a lineup of products for the hospitality market featuring advanced technology, including its new lineup of hospitality SMART TVs featuring the world’s first built-in DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem, elevating the in-room experience for guests. The new LYNK™ REACH 4.0, HMS, and the latest in digital displays will also be showcased at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Booth #759, from June 21-23rd.

“Samsung is raising the bar in the hospitality market by delivering solutions for hoteliers to elevate their guests’ stay with cutting-edge technology that is cost-efficient, easy to use, and easy to install,” said Jonas Tanenbaum, Vice President of Samsung’s Hospitality TV Division. “From check-in to check-out, Samsung solutions provide hotels with technology that transforms properties with simple, yet impactful, results that will drive greater guest loyalty and satisfaction, no matter the existing infrastructure.”

HITEC attendees will be fully immersed into the “Smart Hotel Room” with an opportunity to interact with the new 40- and 50-inch Samsung ND694 TVs featuring the world’s first built-in DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem. The SMART TV technology works with any existing hotel cabled infrastructure, providing over-the-top (OTT) content offerings for guests and operational content management control for hotel staff. Until now, SMART TV integration required hotels to shut down rooms for dedicated costly IP/Ethernet rewiring. The new 40- and 50-inch Samsung ND694 TVs allow hoteliers to easily upgrade the guest experience, as the DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem is built into the TV to enable SMART TV functionality using the existing coax cabled infrastructure found in most hotels today.

Samsung will also be demonstrating the new Samsung LYNK™ REACH 4.0 (Remote Enhanced Active Control for Hotels). Similar to its predecessor, the new software solution allows property managers to centrally control multiple Samsung hospitality TVs and display customized content through the newest displays in the entire Samsung Hospitality TV line-up. The REACH Server and remote controller make it easy to update and adjust digital TVs over radio frequency signals to streamline time-consuming manual updates, as well as allowing interactive service using the hotels WiFi infrastructure.

Vertical solutions are displayed throughout at the booth to provide visitors with the ultimate guest journey from the check-in experience at the model front desk, through the mock hotel rooms, back office, business center, enhanced guest suite and café.

Additional Samsung products and solutions displayed at the booth include:

  • Samsung LYNK™ HMS, which elevates in-room televisions into a gateway connecting guest room devices with the HMS server, the hotel’s existing property management system (PMS) and LYNK HMS’ embedded mobile application for the Room Management Solution (RMS). The seamless integration of resources, achieved through standard wireless protocol, allows hotels to control the personalization of light, shade, temperature, door signage, content and motion detection settings to suit guest needs.
  • Digital displays, including Samsung’s 55-inch ML55E Mirror Display and 55-inch TO55E Transparent OLED Display to enable greater guest interaction will be featured in the enhanced guest suite, while the indoor SMART LED signage and custom video wall will mimic how hotels can use digital signage to deliver engaging content and information in a clear and appealing way for guests.
  • The H-Browser solution, which provides guests with a premium interactive experience and features both free and video on demand (VOD) content. H-Browser’s integrated partners will also have the real-time solution presentations at their individual booth locations highlighting their respective solutions and unique value proposition.
  • The Samsung Galaxy TabS2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablets will showcase the next level of guest compendium information while displaying the ease of use for in room dining ordering, as well as making restaurant and spa reservations.
