ROSEVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce recently named Prosio Communications CEO, Lori Prosio, as the 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year Award winner at its Roseville 2016, South Placer County’s premier business and economic event which draws more than 750 attendees each year. Prosio is the president and CEO of Prosio Communications, a woman/minority owned Roseville-based public relations and marketing firm.
The Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognizes business owners who have demonstrated profitability and market share success, superior entrepreneurial spirit in taking the risk to start a company from the ground up and ingenuity and creativity in finding and filling a market niche. Prosio Communications, which launched in 2013 with Lori Prosio as its sole employee, now has 15 employees and is one of the fastest growing PR firms in the Sacramento Region. The full-service firm offers public relations, graphic design, community outreach and crisis communication services to businesses, non-profit organizations and government agencies throughout the country.
Before launching Prosio Communications, Lori spent nine years managing a PR firm in northern California, where she was a senior vice president and corporate officer. She was recruited to open and manage the Sacramento area office, and led the firm to become one of the top five PR firms in the region before leaving in 2013 to launch Prosio Communications. Prosio is the vice president of the Aly & Izy Foundation, a local non-profit organization which helps families with critically ill infants in Sacramento area neonatal intensive care units, serves on the marketing committee for the Placer SPCA and is an accomplished columnist and public speaker offering advice on marketing and small business issues.
