NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wolters Kluwer’s BizFilings, an industry leader in online incorporation services since 1996, announces that it will present a workshop, “What Every Business Owner Should Know about State Requirements,” at the New York Small Business Expo® on June 9, 2016 at the Javits Convention Center. The workshop will address the top five best practices your business should follow to comply with state and local regulations.
Attendees will learn how incorporating and staying on top of state and local regulations helps entrepreneurs and business owners protect their personal assets, mitigate risk, increase their odds of obtaining business loans and new clients, and stay in good legal standing. The workshop will be held at 3 p.m. EDT in Workshop Room #9 and is free to attend for all conference participants.
“In addition to incorporating, there are numerous federal, county, state and local licenses an entrepreneur may need to launch a business,” notes Jennifer Friedman, vice president of BizFilings. “Knowing which regulations apply, and how to comply with them, is key to a successful venture. We’re excited to present this workshop and help give business owners the knowledge and tools necessary to start their ventures off on the right foot.”
The Small Business Expo expects to have more than 7,000 registered attendees from across the New York metropolitan area. The day-long conference and trade show, which travels to the country’s top cities for small business, brings together industry thought leaders and experts in a hands-on environment that features business-critical workshops and programs.
“Experts tell us that more and more New York residents are wanting to take the entrepreneurial leap,” says event founder Zachary Lezberg, “but that the biggest barrier to starting a new business is that people don’t think they can.” He adds, “With the program we’ve put together, we believe our attendees will feel more empowered by the end of the day.”
The New York Small Business Expo will take place at the Javits Convention Center, Hall 1C — 655 West 34th Street, New York from 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Wolters Kluwer’s BizFilings will be located at Exhibitor Booth #345.
