NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NFP, a leading insurance broker and consultant that provides employee benefits, property & casualty, retirement, and individual insurance and wealth management solutions, has acquired ERISA Fiduciary Advisors, Inc. (EFA). The transaction closed on March 1, 2016.
EFA was founded in 2005 and is an independent, fee-based registered investment advisor and retirement plan consultant with offices in Weston and Stuart, FL. EFA specializes in implementing comprehensive fiduciary management processes for plan sponsors, as well as providing wealth management services with fiduciary oversight. The firm’s principals, Thomas Bastin and Bradley Larsen, will each assume the role of Managing Director, Southeast, reporting to Nick Della Vedova, President of the retirement division at NFP.
Commenting on today’s announcement, Della Vedova said, “Today’s evolving regulatory landscape calls for a superior level of ERISA expertise and understanding of the role of a fiduciary. EFA has established a strong reputation in the industry, and NFP will surely benefit from their addition to our team, particularly as we look to expand our presence in the Southeast region. We are pleased to welcome EFA to the NFP family.”
“NFP is well known for its personalized service offerings and high-quality client services, a business model which mirrors our own. Joining NFP will enable us to broaden our reach and grow our firm, and we are excited to join the NFP team,” Bastin and Larsen said in a joint statement.
